I Tell You The Truth

Jesus is recorded as saying the words "I tell you truth," 78 times in the New Testament. The gospel of Matthew records 30 separate quotes from Jesus stating, "I tell you the truth." Matthew 22:29 Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God”The Sadducees said there was no resurrection. In order to make their case, they reasoned from their own understanding. They said, “Moses wrote for us that if a man's brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man must marry the widow and have children for his brother.” (Matt 29:19) They then ask Jesus if a woman has seven husbands, which one would be her husband in heaven? But Jesus tells them: “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.” The Sadducees did not believe in the resurrection, but they were wrong. Things have not changed over the years. There are many doctrines today that man believes in, but they are wrong. Why is that?
